Lighting For 20 Gallon Long Refuge
I am in the process of seting up a 20 gallon long refuge. This will also be another displayed tank next to my 125 reef tank. I saw a set up like this in a LFS and it looked great. I have read a lot of posting using 67K lighting for their refuge. Since this will be a display tank, I am thinking of using a Coralife T-5 10K lighting system(I want a lighting system with aesthetic) with four bulbs. Do you think four 10K bulbs will be an overkill? I also do not want to hang the light over the tank to prevent glare since the room is my family room. The macro algea will be Chaeto.

I think 1 or two bulbs will be fine. Not too sure I would want a display of cheato, but too each his own.

Nothing exciting going on in central Il. I have a display refugium that looks really nice, too. I just think that cheato is rather ugly, kinda like a giant green brillo pad. There are other nice looking macros. Since it will be a display and will probably be upkept and thinned out regularly you could even use some caleurpa.
