Ebo-Jager's Submersible???

Are Ebo-Jager Heaters fully submersible? It shows on them that they can only be to a certain point but my LFS and several others have said that you can. Just wanted to know what you all think. Ive been running one fully submersed for over a year and getting a new one and was wondering what i should be doing. Thanks.

yes they are. They say not to but i forget why they say it. They used to not even say that (in fact there was a level that you have to have the water to as a MINIMUM...all the way under is better.

But i cant remember what the reason they now say not fully submersible, but i vaguely remember someone here saying it had somethin to do with saving their own butts in case of lawsuit or something like that. Anywho...most people still use them fully submersed.

Yeah the warning label on the heater itself is confusing, but I have 3 of these heaters and they all work fine fully submersed.

Get a titanium heater instead of a glass heater if you are buying a new one. Much more bulletproof. I use the Via Aqua Titanium and lots of others use the Won Brothers both are very accurate.
