Green Brittle Star

I have a Green Brittle star that has gotten too large and I suspect of at least 2 fish disappearances. (Either that or aliens.)

How does one responsibly get rid of such a critter?

*may have minor side effects to other tank mates*

Ok now for the real reply.
My britle star is only out during the night, I'd try around 2am if possible. I doubt he is the cause of your fish loss but I could be wrong. I'd give him to the LFS or a fellow reefer.

Well, there are brittle stars and then there are green brittle stars. The green variety is fine as a Juvie, but then hunt fish when they get bigger.

This guy is 3+ years old and has been fed well to tame his appetite for tank mates.

Green brittle stars are rather notorious for eating small fish. Best thing to do is put in some bait to get it to come out, than catch it and either put in a sump or give it to someone with large fish.
