Auto Top Off?

I want to use an auto top off system for my tank to replace evaporated water. But I have no room for any type of reservoir. But I can run a line from my spectrapure RO\DI unit directly to the sump, and there is even a drain near the unit for the waste water. My question is first off is it possible to top off the tank using no reservoir? Second what solution would stop the RO\DI unit for producing waste water non stop. Is there an easy solution?

many potential hazards come into play when hooking an ro/di directly to your system. I think last months (or this months) reef keeping magazine had some article about that. May wanna check it out.

Pagagimp??? is correct HERE is the article

FWIW, here is what I did... I got one of those roll around rubbermaid 3 drawer storage deals... I then asked my wife to decorate it anyway she liked, that would match the tank and her living room... I used the bottom drawer for topoff water, and the other 2 drawers for storage
You would have to turn the drawers backwards, and roll it out when you want to get in them... The back side is squared off like a table would be, and the drawers are sort of rounded... It really looks like a table there beside the tank... She put a couple of little decorations on top, and everyone is happy... I think the drawer probably holds like 3 gallons, maybe more, at a time

The reservoir can be in a completely seperate location from the tank... all the way across the room even, or even in a different room. It's not as handy, but you can pump the water from anywhere.

I know, but I live in a smaller condo and I really have no place for a resivor. There has to be some sort of safe solution, has anyone had experience with oceanus products.

Have you seen those dosers from Kent marine? basically just a jug with an IV line on them, those types of containers would make a good resevoir that could easily be hung behind the tank and out of view, I think the small size one still hold at least a gallon of "whatever".
