powerheads/flow for 33 & 65
how many powerheads do i need for good flow in a 65 and a 33 gallon reef tank?
in my 65g i have 2 koralia 2 powerheads (600 GPH) and 2 aquaclear 50s (270 GPH) thats 1740 GPH total, what is optimal? im thinking for the 33 i will run 2 aquaclear 50s (270 GPH) and 2 koralia 1 or 2s?? the 33 isnt up yet, i still need 2 powerheads and a skimmer, but the 65 has been up for 3 weeks. also i have a seaclone 150 skimmer on my 65gallon, but i want to get a better one and use that on the 33, what is a good skimmer at a reasonable price that would be good for a 65? thx in advance |

Depends what you were keeping.
I have a mixed reef. The powerheads I use are (1) high flow mj mod, (1) seio 820, and (1) tunze 9045

do you have a sump?
ASM skimmers are good and affordable. I would get bigger koralias for a 65. At least dual koralia 3. |
