To run carbon or not to run carbon?.?.?. (PICS!)
That is the question!
Ok, so i have this little 3 gallon that i am extremely stoked about that will be going on my wifes desk I have some frags in there now THX TO A FEW FELLOW RC'ers), and will probably put a very small fishy in there! My Q is simply this, should I run carbon??? |

I usually do whenever i have different types of corals...specially hammers/torches and different types. I hear that those can cause problems as far as chemical warfare, and the carbon helps with that. All i can say is that i've got a ton of different types of corals in my tanks (and i have the same 3g pico you got and had like 12 corals in it haha) and i never have problems w/them fighting....i always run carbon. Its always worked for me. Maybe i just got lucky, idk, but i'll keep using the stuff

With 3 nanos, I'd say yes. Mostly, I'd say consult the Nano forum--lots of people in there run picos--you'll get lots of thoughts.

Cool tank! I'm running carbon in my 6g nano and everything is working out OK. I did lose my small hammer (not sure why?) but everything else is doing great.
