euro reef or asm skimmer

i have a 125 gallon with a large salfin, naso, hippo, and a few clowns and damesals. and 125 pound live rock i am looking to upgrade to a good skimmer.
i dont think my prisim pro large size can keep up. it makes losts of foam and i empty the collection cup every 2 days it takes out dark green and brownish water but i think i need a good in sump skimmer for under say 300.00
i am looking at the euro reef's and asm's whats the better skimmer. also open to other skimmer suggestions. any help i would be greaful

Euro-reefs preform a lot better than a stock ASM. Euro-reefs are also build very well as they are made from clear cast material vs. the extruding ASM body. Also, the price of the ASM skimmers has went way up, that it's worth it too just get a Euro-reef. Since your budget isn't too high, I would look into the octopus skimmers, which are also made from cast material and have been getting very good reviews.

try to find a used deltec or H&S. after having owned the above mentioned skimmers, I'd take a used H&S or deltec over a new euroreef when considering the smaller skimmers.

larger ehiem driven ER's are a different story.

ASM are not the bang for the buck they used to be....
