How to convert FPM to CFM?

I have a fan that blows 2000 ft. per minute; how do I convert that to CFM? thanks Jeff

You can't without adding another dimension. What does it mean for a fan to blow 2000 linear feet in a minute anyway?

Not really sure to be honest; I guess the speed of flow coming out of the vent.

What fan is it? Perhaps (if the fan is big) they really do mean CFM, just their marketing department/translation department decided "feet" sounded better.

I would say that this was the case.

I dont think FPM is even a valid measurement of air movement.

I didnt major in physics so there is a chance Im wrong....
