Question about wavemakers

Anyone here use a wavemaker (like the Tunze wavebox or the wave2k wavemaker) in a SPS tank rather than powerheads?

I might be missing something, but I saw the Tunze wavebox in use at a lfs, and it seems like it would provide great total water movement. Maybe that in addition to a CL or a couple powerheads would be great in a SPS tanks. What do you think? :P

Also, anyone have the wave2k wavemaker? It is far cheaper than the Tunze... but isnt as attractive. Is it really as ugly as it looks in person as it is on MD/etc?

I assummed you are you going to use with your 150. wavebox works really well, the downside is one bigh ugly box in front of your tank.

I've had a wave2k with a flush mount for 5 months and I really liked the water movement it created in my 90G. However it stopped working this week and I need to troubleshoot it. I think the problem with it is that with calcium addition there is build up on the shaft causing greater and greater friction. Eventually the friction is too much for the motor and the motor stops. The Tunze uses a powerhead to empty and fill the box so I think the wavebox would be more reliable. Neither unit is particularly attractive.
