Plastic causing algae

Can someone please point me in the right direction to read more about styrene or plastic causing algae problems.

Thank you very much for the Welcome. I've been a long time peeker, just didn't join cause usually someone else will ask the same question

I have read somewhere about having algae problems from a type of plastic used in the tank, they changed to acrylic and the algae problem is now gone. I can't find this information now for the life of me!
