Blue Spot Jawfish with a Diamond Spot Goby?
Tank is 180g and I have a Diamond Spot sand sifting goby and would like to add a Blue Spotted Jawfish. Any experiences with these two together?

I have had a Blue spot with a diamond goby for almost a year in a 135 gallon tank with zero issues. Be careful though because the blue spots are jumpers.

My blue spot gets along fine with a pink & blue spot watchman goby. The orange spotted rabbitfish and yellow tang seem to irritate him, though.
Make sure your take is completely covered, my first blue spot was doing great for about two days then jumped either through eggcrate, or more likely through a gap between the eggrate and my wavysea. I decided to try another one and he's been in the tank for about two weeks now without a problem; I got the biggest one I could find (harder to jump through the eggrate) and also recut the eggcrate to make a tighter fit around the wavysea. Don't underestimate this fish's ability to jump through the tiniest opening in the cover! Once he digs a burrow he will be at much lower risk of jumping. By the way this is an awesome fish! By far my favorite, absolutely gorgeous and extremely interesting with tons of personality. |

Thanks for the replies. I have a "sliding window screen" to cover the top when the canopy is open plus 3" euro bracing all around. I'm looking forward to this interesting fish!
