Talking Leakity Leak Leak

Well, I got the two tanks filled with FW last night and I had some leaks at bulkheads, unions, etc. I got a couple of them figured out, but have the A-Team coming over this evening to help get them perfected...then, we will turn on the pump

Menu for this evening is BEER and Dave's Special Experimental Wings...they sound promising for extra Toidy Time Tomorrow

Did you pre-wet the bulkhead gaskets? I've found that they seal better when they're wet and tend to dry with a nice "stick" if that makes any sense. Whenever I screw them on dry I always have at least one leak.

I'd put up a cool avatar, but I told you! I'm busy with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines!

besides I don't even have any good skills. You know, like nunchuku skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills... avatars only go up for people who have great skills.

Aren't you pretty good at drawing, like animals and warriors and stuff?

After careful consideration Nook has decided to chuck the whole fish tank idea. Simply too much trouble.............

Some exciting news though.............he's has rededicated his efforts into turning his basement into "Daves Crazy World Circus" complete with all the 'fixins' you would expect to see at any circus.

His cube tank will now be used to make massive quantities of Kettle Corn and the 375 will be retrofitted to become a mini Krispy Kreme factory. YUM! My mouth is watering already!

Of course, Bogie has been renamed "The Man Eating Beast From Borneo".

Should be an exciting time for all. Bring the wives and children!

I'm guessing the fumes got to Capo last night, Don't know if it was the PVC glue or the "experimental wing" fumes, but either way, Ol' Capo inhaled too much!

So Capo,

Is Dave going to set that 300g rubbermaid back into a look down tank hosting another killer clown? I think he only had the previous one set-up for 10 years.

Why do you always have to pick on his precious little lap dog that just loves to lick your face?

I think the PVC cement and primer in the little closet got to him today because he said he saw little green men floating around my head

We got the tubsink plumbed today with four standpipes...looks awesome and no leaks

Our idea for next week is to get some bricks, put plywood on top of the bricks, then the horsemat under the sumps...hopefully those bulkheads will not leak after that.
