Drain hose

Setting up a 75 fallon with a corner overflow. On the sump I am putting one of CPRs filter sock holders so I don't have to drill it or silicone the acrylic bracket into place. The question is the bulkhead that drains from the tank is a 1'' slip. I bought one of those drain hoses from drsfostersmith and it does fit snuggly up into the bulkhead and they told me thats how it should go. To me it seems like this could possibly slip out one day. Should I at least silicone it into place? Any info would greatly be appreciated, thank you in advance.
