Are Emerald Crabs safe with SPS?
Are emerald crabs safe to keep with SPS?
I had assumed not, but let me know! Also, I assume red leg hermits are also out of the question... Thanks for any tips! |

I would be weary, they have a tenancy to become jerks when they get bigger. The larger they grow, the more trouble the can become.

Emerald crabs should be very safe with the SPS but not with the little fish.

I agree that they're just fine. They'll starve to death before eating corals, especially corals with very little tissue like SPS.

also, i gave up trying to SG things to smooth surfaces, the mithrax crabs HAVE to scrape that crap off for some reason. weird but i once picked up like 20 small frags that I glued to a glass plate. heh, they tore every one off and tossed it into the abyss in one night. round 2 i used a plastic CD case. they couldn't get those loose.

Becarful when you go shopping for an emerald. Insist on a small one, because alot of the monsters for obvious reasons, end up back at the lfs store. Same goes for all nusance fish and inverts.
