ELOS vs Salifert results
Since my Salifert Kits are coming to an end, I went with the ELOS kits, and must say I am pretty happy with them. I am pretty sure the difference in the Mg is my fault. At one point, I put two ML of saltwater into the Mg solution when I wasnt thinking. They are pretty much just like Salifert. Add drops until it changes from 1 color to another. I went with ELOS over Lamotte as ELOS has a Mg test.
Salifert: Ca - 450 Alk - 8 dKH Mg - 1425 ELOS Ca - 500 Alk - 8.5 Mg - 1300 Also, I have a question. I read that you can double the saltwater for the ALK, and this will give you .5 dKH measurements, instead of 1 with each drop. So I am guessing I could do the same with the MG? Each drop is 100 ppm, so if i double the saltwater, then it would only be 50 correct?
