check your caves and crevices with a flashlight at night. A red lens over the light will help observe them without freaking them out too much.

I agree--you should see the water teaming with them

As stated, just check at night with a light, you can see them crawling everywhere. It doesnt have to be a red lens flashlight but the fish dont really like the instant bright light.

if you want lots of pods it may be time to add a refugium to your system--full of chaeto macro--you'll get the added benifit of nitrates and phosphates reduction of the chaeto and lots and lots of copopods and other usefull inverts and bacteria for the tank

I got up real close to the bottom of my tank the other day and found all kinds of white copepods crawling near the bottom on the glass. They are very small. That was with my super actinics on. When I turned on the 50/50's they disappeared. Look at the bottom of the glass near the sand real close at night and see what comes out. My tank has only been up for 3 months with 6 lbs live rock and 30 base rock. Pods everywhere.

lol in addition to what others have said....

Dont freak out like i did when you see your sand moving

You might see them in the morning too when you first turn on the lights. 1000's of little white crawly things all over the glass. They almost look like microscopic hourseshoe crabs till they grow up some. I have lucked out to have some brine shrimp doing thier thing in my tank too. did you know brine shrimp play follow the leader?? lol
