Chiller plumbing question
I am trying to set up an Arctica Titanium Commercial Series 1/2 HP chiller. My question should seem basic if you know this product. I am having a steady leak out of both the inlet and outlet ports of the chiller and cannot seem to get it to seal properly. I have teflon taped the threads, checked the o-rings (no cracks) and let it run just to see if it needed to work in a little. All to no avail. Anybody have any luck or know something I am doing wrong? It is the last step in my 400 in wall build project and I am so close I can taste it!! Please help. Thanks!!

Are you dialing back the line after the output with a ball valve, or running it through a SCWD?
Also, you shouldn't use teflon tape on these I don't think. I had a tiny leak, but tightening it more made it go away on my 1/10 hp Arctica. Are you running much more flow than recommended through the chiller?

The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself. “It’s overfull! No more will go in!” the professor blurted. “You are like this cup,” the master replied, “How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup.” Current Tank Info: 56g, 20g. |
