sump/refugium ?

I will be setting up my 135 in a couple of days and i was planing on spliting my sump and refugium in to two sections , with the sump on the left side and the refugium on the right side, and using my reefflo snapper for the return on both of them. would this work? pulling water from one overflow to feed the sump, and one from another overflow to feed the refugium, then have two returns running up to the two overflow boxes. any help would be greatly appreciated my space under my stand has limited room to work around due to the entery space only being 2 and 1/2 foot.
