Dontcha wish this is what would happen if an unwelcome hitchhiker made its way into your display tank?

National Geographic's POTD:

"A giant green sea anemone eats a red cancer crab in a tidal pool in Washington's Clallam Bay. These carnivorous invertebrates snare their prey by firing a hooked filament into their victims, paralyzing them with a potent neurotoxin before engulfing the unlucky prey."

I think my BRTA ate my coralbanded. He's disappeared completely and it's only a 20 gal. tank.

One would think that the crab would he the aggessor in this senario.

i've just never seen an anemone with a green, fuzzy base. weird. it's like the funky shag carpet of the '70s. (^o^)

Yeah, I had a rock crab that actually ate a condi in my tank oh so long ago.

Still, a pretty cool pic.
