Need help!!

I have a scopas tang and foxface in a 26 gallon qt.( both 2 inches) I did a 4 gallon water change 2 days ago. Today I check and I notice ammonia and nitrates. I just did an 8 gallon change. Ammonia still at .5 and nitrates at .5. I am making more RO water as we speak. Can they survive in there until water is ready, or should I put them in DT.

Maybe you should pull some water from the 120 and replace it when your RO water is ready.

How much water will take the nitrites and ammonia down. How long can the fish tolerate the ammonia and nitrites.

I put 4 gallons from my display tank in. Will the tank be okay until the morning. I'm afraid to do anymore water changes, my fish are stressed out enough.

i know your stressed and so are your fish just let everything settle down and test in an hour or so doing that much of a water change should help tremendously.
