Best Skimmer For 250$
I have an sps reef tank and my old skimmer just broke what would be the best skimmer for around 250 bucks, i have a sump so thats and option or i can hve it in the back.

how much room do you have in your sump?

i think the octo is to big for my sump any other skimmers that might be smaller

the extreme you would need 12*14
you can get the Needle wheel skimmer http://www.reefspecialty.com/Protein...duct_info.html i had a nw-150 in my old 75. worked great. Just the pump would always need to start by blowing in the air tube. not a hard skimmer to dial in. |

the remora is a nice skimmer
the other skimmers mentioned are a little big i see for your sump size.. i would say tunze 9010 however i have learned through experience they work best when the sump level can stay quiet high... |

This is a little over buget but i seen this skimmer at my lfs. It had an inch or so of skimmate in the cup and was still breaking in. Only up for a couple days. This skimmer is so nice it made me wanna set up another tank just to buy one. lol Its tunze new skimmer:

Id have to say id go with the Tunze 9420, its had to balance a sps and softie tank. softies like "dirty" water and sps like clean water. and the light requirements usually vary alot. Seem like u have to make one suffer to make the other happy. But as far as the skimmer goes thats what id go with.
