Need skimmer rec for a 120g
Just picked up a used 120g and am moving up from a 14g nano. Yeah, it's a big jump and I'm nervous about it. I plan to keep sps and LPS mainly.
That said, I'm looking for a skimmer and pump recommendation. I'd like an internal setup and am trying to keep it as quiet as possible (going in family room). Can I get something good and quiet for under $400? |

I think the tunze 9410 would do it and it is probably silent. I am running the 9460 and it is very quiet. This runs around $390 and pulls 600lph air and 16w...very quiet pumps. They also have the filter socks on the discharge/drain for adding media. Kind of nice not haveing to add another pump to run through media reactor.

Best skimmer for under $300 is the Vertex IN180. Outskims skimmers that cost much more. Read the Vertex skimmer thread it has lots of good info.
Octo and MSX are good options too.

Here is a link to the Tunze site. I did a search for 9410 here and it came up. You could contact Roger through the Tunze forum to check for availability and who may have one in stock. http://www.tunze.com/117.html?&L=1&C=US Chad |
