Frustration...
Has anybody else, other than ME, noticed that there coral can take a turn for the worse from day to day. I'll have a thriving tank and then randomly have a piece begin struggling. And then it begins. The miserable attempts to save the investment. Frustrating I tell you. This is no more than a simple vent session for me. Thanks for reading of course.

its good to hear. We invest so much into this hobby, time and money. Both being equally as important to me. Everytime this happens, I come on here thinking I just need to keep learning more about what it is I am doing. This place helps in the knowledge relm very much.

Yes sir! I just had a nice "mystery" acro RTN on me. I obtained it as a small, bleached nothing from a local reefer for free. It took FOREVER to start growing and was finally taking off when W-H-A-M... RTN.
All of my other corals are loving life... so it was truly "isolated". I didnt let it bother me... much. . ALL (I say again... ALL) reefers (at any level) deal with this from time to time. Its part of the game I suppose... I agree that knowledge is a great and powerful tool but to attempt to fully understand nature... well .... its a noble goal, but a foolish one if you ask me!

Yah that is one part of the hobby that sucks. Just the other day I lost my aussie rainbow acans. There were fine before I went to work (graves) and when I woke up in the morning there was nothing left of them. I have other acans, but they were all fine. They were the only coral in my tank that died and just happened to be my favorite acans in the tank.

This is one of the more painful sides of this hobby. It's worse to watch your investment disappear rather than spend it innitially. First you convince the wife to let you buy more. But they never understand is much watching it randomly die. Painful it can be. lol
