Rhizo or......?

What does everyone think this is.......possibly a Rhizo? I bought it as a hitchhiker on a frag from a LFS. It was the size of pencil eraser but is quickly growing. In a month and a half it's grown to the size of a quater.

It has a hard skeletal structure and here it is after I've touched it. It's also very carnivorous

Hitchhiking Plate Coral????

I have them too and that is my guess. I can see mine grow (almost like mushrooms) out of the liverock and they break off and litter my sandbed. They look identical.

Yup, now that I've had a look on the net I believe it's a plate coral baby too. I actually got two of them on the frag.

When I set my SPS tank up back in 2007 I got about 40 lbs of the nano liverock from PhisyBusiness. This stuff was basically balls of pocillipora covered in coralline. In any case it was about a year later that these little plate suckers just started popping out like mad. I get about 1 per month (that I can find). In various colors but the green ones are the most striking. I get a lot of mottled colored ones too.

Pretty neat stuff
