SWC extreme 160 or Octo extreme 160?

Do you have any information that would be helpful selecting between these two skimmers?

I like the look of the new neck on the Octo extreme, but does it work any better?

Do they have the same dimensions? What is the actual heights vs what is listed on the site? Another vendor list the same height as you and based on that height it would not fit under my stand. I was able to go see the SWC 160 at the other vendor and it was shorter than advertised.

I am looking to replace my Octo TS-150 and any help would be appreciated before making my decision.

How about a comparison of the cheaper skimmers, such as the two I listed and maybe a comparable vertex?

Hi,

I really like the neck design of the new Octo Extreme skimmers. I think it provides for a very nice transition going into the neck, and a big improvement over the old design as well as the SWC 160. The overall height of this skimmer is 21.2". Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Jeremy

How do you think it compares to the Vertex?

I really like the Vertex IN-100. Having said that, the new Extreme 160 is no slouch either. I'm sure you would be happy with either one you go with to be honest. Both of them provide excellent bang for the buck performance.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Thanks for the information.

I am going to make my decision this week. I am hoping to be able to come to your shop on Friday or Saturday of next week and pick one up. I have never been there, so I am excited to see it.

Would it be possible to see a Vertex IN-100 and an Extreme 160 running side by side while I am there?

Unfortunately I do not have either of those running right now, I apologize. You're more than welcome to check them out and pull them out of the box while you're here though.

Thanks,
Jeremy
