Pics of my 72 bowfront, Lots of pics

This is my first saltwater tank. I've had it up and running for 16 months. It is a fairly basic setup. I run an icecap 4 lamp t5 w/ 660 ballast, sump, no fuge, couple of SEIO pumps, and run carbon. It is mostly SPS, NPS, some zoas, couple of cleaner shrimp 2 clowns, 1 tang an blue damsel. Enjoy the pics

Wife w/ new tank

Wife vacuming after I made a mess in the living room!!

Tank cycling w/ nasty brown algae on rocks and sand.

3 months later, algae gone, fish are in, 2 clowns, 1 blue damsel(That I am regretting), yellow tang

My first coral, xenia frag, you'll see it again!!!!

your rock set up is pathetic... You can't built caves and home for the fish or want? You seem very lazy... All I see is you just stack the rock on each other.... You have no ideas or creatives at all... Your tank look so boring and pathetic... I feel very sorry for those fishes...

My advice is you need more live rocks
Try to get live rocks that cover with purple, orange or red coralline algae growing on it. It will make your tank look way nice. If you can, you should get live from from Tonga, Southeast Pacific ocean or the Great Barrier Reef. You have to make caves... That is a MUST!... You must be creatives and full of ideas. When some look at your tank... The first thought they have is WOW....

Damn....Kinda harsh don't you think?..If that is the way the OP want HIS tank it is not any of your concern....Only 3 posts and you say a tank is pathetic...not a very good way to get welcomed to RC.

Personally I like the tank looks healthy and lots of swimming room for the fishies.

You know what your momma said "if you can't say something nice do not say anything".

........WOW

I thought the tank looked awesome. Great coraline growth, and i personally like the rock lay out. Lots of room for growth, and and swimming. Fish probably love it.

yea i thinks thats pretty harsh words. i think the coraline is growinf pretty fast and the rock work might not be the best but its his tank and if thats how he wants it then so be it. no need to buy rocks covered in coraline if it gonna grow like it is in his tank.

With only a few posts, I wouldn't even worry about 777's coments. Some people just love drama....

Tank looks good and the wife seems a lot more enthusiastic about the tank than my wife does

Not really, I do not even dose anything, It's funny beacuse the coraline only grows on the plastic overflow and rocks. There is hardly any on the glass, which I like. Hopefully it stays that way. Thanks for the compliments.

Tell me about it. I couldn't get a six bulb t5 fixture due to the shortened canopy. I also added a couple of ultrabright LED setups on the lid and that has worked great for dawn/dusk. The 4 bulb Icecap setup has been great. I really do not see a need for anymore. I do not have any SPS yest, but i do have a couple of clams including one in the sandbed.

I really like the look of your tank allot! I like the fact that your corals have lots of room to grow out and your fish have plenty of stress free space to swim around. It really made me sad seeing that one guy posting so rudley. I am suprised that the post is still being shown and that he hasn't been banned from this sight. Your wife is beautiful!
