Heater Problems
My heater in my sump has been making a clicking noise anyone have this problem before ?

Yup, it was broken in half, the click was electrical current in my water.

Shouldn't be making any noise. As cheap as they are, I would get a new one and not risk it.

Be careful not only can something that like kill your tank it can seriously hurt you as well.

It does click when it turns off and on and i never got shocked by it either way i just put a different heater in its a bit smaller but it only has to heat the sump water and send it to the tank so i hope

I had a couple of name brand glass heaters that made a clicking noise when they cycled on and off. You could see the light come on and go off with the clicking noise. I moved away from glass heaters after I broke one and now I use the Stealth heaters. They don't have the light or the clicking noise and have been very dependable so far.

I use a controller as a failsafe and I'm very comfortable with the Stealth Heaters. I think some kind of a controller is a good idea for any heater arrangement.
