Thinking of switching from MH setup b/c of evaporation...

Will a T5 setup make a big difference? I have to add water to my tank every freaking morning, and it's around 3 gallons each day.

T5 will not stop evaporation. Look into an Auto Top Off and you are set. Depending ono your tank size, 3 gallons is about the norm. ( 75g-120g) I easily evap 3-4g a day

I'm just worried about when I go out of town. I don't want someone to have to come in every day when I go out of town for a weekend.

Ideas?

I agree with everybody and get a ato.
I have the JBJ ATO.
It draws water from a 20 gallon container 12' away that is out in my garage.
It lasts me about a week.

If you want to slow evaporation, get a slower return pump (i don't know what you currently have), get rid of the fans (evaporative cooling ) and get a chiller. A chiller will cool the water without the water having to change it's phase from liquid to vapor.

Exact same setup. Works great.
