Just moved looking for a good LFS

Hello folks,

Just moved to the Palm Coast area of Florida and was wondering if anyone knows of any decent LFS in the area, within driving distance

Do you have a link or an address? When i do a google search for "the coral nursery" i only come up with a sanctuary in the Florida keys, which is about an 8 hour drive for me. (not very realistic for me to go to)

I'm actually from Brooklyn, but recently had the opportunity to work full time from home so decided to move down here to see if i like it. For now its been only a few weeks so its still too early for me to tell, but the weather here is definately a bonus.

Its a big change for me because i'm from Brooklyn which is still very much like city living. I've always considered NJ as suburbs, and thats pretty much whats its like here in Palm Coast Fl. Its quiet here and im definately enjoyng the change in pace (for now).

Are u older than me im 35?Im just really interested in your opinion since u r from up North.I agree with u that NJ is "suburbs" compared to NY im only 1hr from the City,& have a Degree from Jersey City State.(In other words im kinda local),& interested in how u r adjusting to the change.Mind u i have spent lotsa time in the Keys,Sunset Key my fav,but never more than a month.

PMing u.

k np. PM me if you wish. i dont mind at all shaing my experience with you or anyone else who is interested I am roughly the same age as you but not everyone would like it here no matter what age.

I was baically tired of large crouds, i have tons of friends but i'm not very social, meaning i dont need to go out to fancy places, museums, lounges, ect.. None of those things interest me anymore. For some people they do i am sure. I just want quiet and thats basically what you get in the town i moved in.

But Florida, just like any state i suppose has its urban meccas, which would be ideal for persons looking for work and looking for the hustle and bustle of city life. IE Miami, Ft Lauderdale..

Honestly i wouldnt have moved here if i didnt work from home, its nearly impossible to find work here (unless your a nurse) which would compensate for an entire family and a reef tank .

My opinion to anyone who plans on moving to Florida is find work first and make sure its cushy. (im sure youve heard it before)

On how i'm adjusting. Its not hard for me since i do have some family down here and also a few old friends. But that said i'm the type of person who can adjust anywhere, afterall nothing can be worse then Brooklyn. If i wasnt married and if i didnt have a young daughter i would have moved to Hawaii.

On how my wife is adjusting, thats a different story.. No Macy's nearby is a tradjedy for her.

If U check Reef Club Forums at the bottom of the Forum index page U will find that most clubs will offer a LFS guide for their areas. Just find a club listed in your area and check it out. I have used these for the Ft Lauderdale area when I visit my son. U can also ask the area members of these clubs, most will be more than happy to advise.
