Lr?
i know there is a lot of different live rock out there. how do you choose what is worth having? i know some are more porous than others, making them lighter in weight. more porous means more areas for bacteria, pods and other good critters can live, right?

Porous/ less dense rock with good shapes.
I would recommend Marshall Island LR, as it's some of the nicest I've seen (and have it in my tank) in terms of shape & porousness...but there's a collection ban so... If it were me, I'd go with some Macro rock, and seed it.
