Anyone had problems with Teco Seachill T20 or T30's?
Hi, I'm looking to possibly buy a Teco chiller in 1/3 or 1/2 hp.
Are they as quiet as people say? What about reliability. Thanks, Todd |

the teco 1/3 is very quiet as it states.
i highly recommend the 1/3 for quiet ness situations. cant chime in for the 1/2hp cuz dont have one. with the 1/3hp, i removed those silly valve things and put on regular pvc fittings. if and when you get one, you will see how restrictive those fittings are. other than that, it is a great chiller. it has a built in thermostat which combined with the heater option will give you good (not great) temp regulation. the temp controller doesnt give the best resolution with a +/- of only 1 degree (as opposed to a 0.01 or 0.5 discrimination)...but that is a very very small picking point. the uv option? i have it but dont use it.

Thanks Ben,
I'll probably get the 1/3 as this will be my inside backup unit. Todd |
