What size tank do you have?

Do you have a sump or would it have to be an hang on?

Personally I like Octopus, Vertex, or MSX skimmers. They're the best bang for the buck.

We'll need more information to make a good assessment though!

I wouldn't recommend it, there are many better skimmer out there at that price. Try to find a really good one locally or on the boards, a skimmer is something you don't want to skimp on as you will ending up buying a better one once you get more experience. If you don't want to pay much, look for a used one. A good quality used one is still a million time better than a new crappy skimmer.

I personally LOVE my Eshopps skimmer!! It's quiet, well built, and performance is FAR above my expectations. That being said, I am only using it on a 20 gallon nano. I have read of others running them on larger systems, and being very happy with the performance.

Tell us about your tank? Without size and stocking level it is pretty hard to give any real answers.

I would pass on it and look at an ASM G1 or G2 if you have the room.
