30g Tank

This is a basic 30g, I don't have a sump or Fuge. I'm looking for fish ideas for my 30g tank. Yes i know it's small but i'm still kinda a begginer even though my dad is an expert. I can't wait to see what ideas you guys come up with. I may post some tank pictures.

I have no corals...Yet!

Fish
a pair of B&W Occ. clows
1 pajama cardinal

lol, its 'fuge not fudge! Fudge is like pudding

One very interesting matchup is a pistol shrimp and watchman goby:

The goby stands guard at the burrow entrance and protects the pistol shrimp as the shrimp builds/maintains the cave. Very interesting to watch.

LiveAquaria.com
BlueZooAquatics.com

Go search those sites and check out all of the corals, fish, and inverts to get a good idea of whats available and what you might like to have in your tank.

You are pretty close to being maxed out on fish for a 30 gallon. If you add a fuge and or sumo you could do one more fish.....no more than 4 inches IMO. Be patient, dont overstock and you will become an expert like your father. If it were me and I had your tank and wanted to add a fish I would add a small yellow corrise wrasse or maybe a flame hawk fish. Honestly I think you would be better off investing in a 20 gallon sump. If you do add another fish and decide not to add a sump make sure you are vigilant with water changes and testing. Good luck!!!

I agree with shane about being close to maxed out unless you add a sump. So yea just a little more.

If you do decide to go with a shrimp/goby pair then make sure you pair up the right species as not all species will pair with one another. Getting the right species together will increase your odds of having them pair up.

*smacks forehead* I gave a quick glance at my sand, i don't think it's deep enough for a shrimp and goby to make a home in. I'll looks at some firefish, i've found them interesting.

Tail spot blenny has a great personality and stays small. Might be worth considering.

Perhaps a dwarf centropyge angel. A Flame Angel throws in a great splash of red.

A blenny sounds like a good idea, I Absolutely love flame angles but I think I'm going to go with a Coral beauty since they are a lot nicer. I really don't want my $60.00 B&W clowns, and Pajama cardinal dead.

I honestly would get a clown goby, and a 2nd pj for the other one to have as a friend. From what I hear, cardinals do much better in pairs or more. I think with those 2 additions, you'd be done with fish.

I may be moving the cardinal back to my dad's tank, i think it liked having more places to hide in the 300.

Change of plans we put the cardinal back in the 300 and the tangs would never leave him alone even though it used to live there with them. So we caught him, put him back in my tank. He will stay in there until he dies of old age and i will try to get him a friend.

I'll try to get some pictures up.
