Finally happy with my reef tank… what do you think?

It’s a 55 gal mixed reef. I’m going to focus now on my at home water RO/DI system and try to create superior water quality / weekly water changes.

if they were full size, yes ... would agree. However, they're small and juvenille's. Once they grow, he'll have to move them.

Tang Police... here come the sirens!

Haha yeah, the small one is about the size of a quater and the othe is just a little bigger. With 1400 gph of flow they can hardly make it to the other side of the tank. I'm sure they will be fine for a little while, but probably no more than a year.

very nice. I love mixed tank. I have never been able to get my zoas to grow that well. Did you buy them like that or did they start from frags?

The zoas were 1/4 of the size small colonies when bought. The green and red ones grow very well.

I'll get a FTS tonight and post it.

The OP posted a thread stating "WHAT DO YOU THINK?" So if you are going to have 2 hippo tangs in a 55 gallon tank and post a thread like this, you pretty much expect to hear that the tank is too small for them right? You may think it 'gets old' but you wouldn't hear it if so many people weren't doing it.

Other than the 2 hippos, the tank looks good.
