Use of Chemiclean Red Slime Remover

Does anyone have experience with using this in a mantis tank? I have used it with no problems in my fish only tank, and currently, my mantis tank has no inhabitants (Dexter, RIP :<), so I thought I would treat it with Chemiclean prior to getting a new mantis, as it really does the trick in keeping the cyano at bay over time.

Was wondering what all y'all's thoughts are about this.

Thanks in advance

I am personally against adding antibiotics (that's what ChemiClean is) to an ecosystem dependent on bacteria. Cyanobacteria (red slime algae) exist because of nutrient excesses, especially phosphates and nitrates. Try reducing feedings, increasing water changes, adding a refugium, and use phosphate absorbing media.

Regards,
Dan
