help! Pepermint shimp
i want to buy some pepermint shimp for my reef to eat apstasia,but will my brain corals and acanns be safe?

Most likely they will be safe, but there is never any guarantee. Keep the peps well fed and they should leave stuff like that alone.

Actually keeping the peps well fed may keep them from doing what you want, eat apt.
Personally I'm not a fan of them, they always have picked on my snails, among other things.

The worst my peppermints do to coral is occasionally steal food from them. I had one wrestle with a clown fish for the same mysis.

I have 2 peppermints and I have never had an issue with them bothering any of my corals or snails. Mine were are good with eating apt.

i bought four peppermint shrimp and within a week they all disappeared. dont know what ever happened to them. sad life. ::tear::

I wouldn't get more than 2 depending on your tank size. this way you can watch them. Mine have been pretty much ok eating the NLS pellets that fall to the ground. Keep them fed and they should leave the corals alone.
