General skimmer sump water level question
This will probably be a dumb question, but here goes.
If for instance the skimmer requires 8" of water in the sump. Is it the same thing if the baffle creates 8" of water and the skimmer is sitting on the bottom of the sump, and if the baffle creates 9" depth and you put the skimmer on a 1" stand to get it to 8" depth? I was wondering if it mattered also if there was depth below the skimmer caused by the stand. Thanks, Ken |

Your assumption is correct. The extra depth below the pump doesn't matter. It's where the pump sits matters because that's the pressure exerted on the pump that affects its performance.
