Before and After Photos...
I was wondering if people had before and after shots of their tanks or even specific corals. Sarah and I are still in the before stage with our 120 but it would be nice to look at others tanks to see what we have to look forward to. We just started adding SPS frags to our tank and I plan to photograph them monthly to track growth or changes in our tank.
Anyone care to share? |

Before
About six months later. Most critters were moved from other tanks.

Like Steve said, I've had most of these animals for quite some time, and simply moved them into this tank once it was stable. Sorry, but I'm terrible with dates. I've had the green haddoni for a very long time. Ten years+????? She was about seven inches when I got her. Within the first year she reached twelve inches. By the end of the second year, she was about sixteen inches, and has stayed that size. I know it's a she because she spawned about a year ago. I've had the gigantea (the anemone in the top left of the pic) for about two and a half years. It was large when I got it, but it was bleached pretty bad, and lost quite a bit of mass in the recovery process. It probably got down to about fourteen inches. In the pic, its probably about sixteen inches. Its growing like a weed now though. In the video below, it's about twenty inches. Now it's more like twenty four inches. I don't have an up to date pic or video though. I've had the magnifica (the red anemone in the center) for about two years. It was maybe eight inches when I got it, and now about a foot. I've had the crucifer (the anemone between the haddoni and magnifica) for eight to ten years. It started out at about two inches and is now pushing six. I had the two elegance for a couple of years. They grew while I had them, but I don't have pics when I first got them. The video below is the most recent documentation I have of my system. It's an upgrade from the pic above. From 120 gallon to 200 gallon. It's a long story, but the elegance are no longer with me. Sorry the video is so slow. I'm working on my video skills.

Thanks. Most of the corals in the 3rd pic were VERY small frags not more than 6 to 8 months ago. Everything has grown like weeds in my tank
