LED /cover for tank options???
Planning on taking the top off my bio cube for new LED lighting.
I really would like to purchase a blue spotted jawfish and was going to cover top with egg crate. According to 2 LFS's they said the fish could still jump out. One place suggested a layer of screening on the egg crate but I don't want to overly difuse the LED. So my next idea was a custom cut piece of glass to fit over top( back potion would stay uncovered because of heater and skimmer). But then I read that thank wouldn't get enough oxygen... Also, do I need a special glass with LED or is whatever they use at glass cutter ok? Thanks for any help! |

I would look into screen tops instead. Its basically a screen door custom sized for your tank. You can get many different screen hole sizes and all the parts can be had at a home improvement store.
