Led for fish

I was setting up my old tank after a few years away from the hobby and was wondering which led lights would be good for lions. I just plan on a fuzzy and and an angel or tang. The tank is 48x24x30.

Any setup would be nice for a fish only tank..Fish really do not care. It all depends on what color you want to see. Buy one that has some white and some blue with seperate controls for each color that way you can dial in what ever color and intenisty you want..

If you are into DIY then check out one of sponsers here that sell led kits.. If not and money is no objet then Go with AI's or Radions. Another alternitive is T5's they make fixures that have adjustable ballasts and you can buy different colors for them. Its like I said Fish do not care.

I love the reefbrites and about to add one more strip. I like the 50/50 for a fish only. Right now I have an all blue and 2 50/50 on my 180 and have some LPS doing just fine under them. I want to get some clams and higher light demanding corals so getting one more 50/50 strip and I will be all set.

They have great spread and produce just enough simmer and not over the top like I've seen on some of those Canons out now. Good enough spread that I actually have 2 48" strips on the 6' tank and it spreads out to the sides just fine.

Sounds good thanks, I think I will definitely check those out. I was thinking of starting with one strip for the 150g.

Why do people go and add green and red leds then. Is it just to cover more of the light spectrim?
