Ghost Feeding my new 55 gallon
I posted an earlier thread about getting live rock, wont be able to get more rock and sand till next week, in the mean time I got a reply to ghost feed the LR. All I have for fish food is some Beta food, the black pellets. I can use those?

Also if I dont feed the LR, do they just feed off of each other? As in some bacteria will die off and gives off ammonia and the other bacteria will feed of of that? Or will the LR just die off and turn into dry rock?

You're over thinking this a bit, any kind of uneaten food wiil produce ammonia to feed the bacteria, your pellets will be fine.

Does it matter if the lights are on or off when Ghost feeding?
I'm setting up a new 90 gallon, but am leaving my lights on my 55 until it is ready.

Lights off helps keep away unwanted algae growth.
