PVC to Flex Tube?
I have 3 Glass Holes overflows on my 150gal that drains into the next room into a 120gal sump. Currently the overflows are plumbed into 1.5in PVC then into a 2in common line. My question is, if I convert all that PVC to flex tube will it make my system quieter?
Thanks. |

yes. day and night if you do not header the overflows and run all 3 into the sump.
No. if you keep the same design and go 3 overflow lines into 1 for the drain lines. it will sound the same. anytime you combine two or more lines, the sound levels and surging chances go up. GL C |

I doubt it. You have to figure out why there is noise in the first place and where it is coming from. Example: If you have a pipe dropping water into a bucket 3" above the water line, no, flex will not stop it. Are you talking water flow noises, vibration or???
