Anyone know about Flasher Wrasses ? What's a sub-adult male ?

I'd like to get a McCosker Flasher Wrasse. From what I've read it's best to get a male and one or a few females. I think I'd like one male and 3 females, but I can't seem to find any females locally (New York City) or on-line. LA sells "McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, Sub Adult/Male" fish, but I'm not sure what that mean. What's a sub adult/male ? Would these get along and one become the dominant male ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks!

a sub adult is one in process of changing to male

So if I bought a few sub-adult males, would they all become male and fight, or would one become male and the rest female ?

I'm trying to buy a "harem" of a few female flasher wrasses and one male. It's not easy to find female flashers; most places don't sell the females and, as I understand it, multiple males in one tank will fight...

Yes. Juveniles are sexually undifferentiated. Once a juvenile starts down the road to adulthood, they become sub adult females or sub adult males. The sex has been set but full adult coloration is not yet present.
