Tang help

My yellow tang has brown freckles over his eyes...is this normal? I feed him seaweed infused with garlic everyday, shrimp that he steals from my clowns every other day, and I alternate between flakes and pellets every day. He eats like a pig and I was thinking of buying some red gracilaria for him...should I or should I not. I feel like its just extra but has anyone used it before so I could get your input? Thanks!
