Lighting a 300g with LED only. How many led?
I'm building a 72x36x27h (300 gallons). I want to keep SPS and LPS
corals. I'd like to go all LED for the energy savings as well as the longevity. I've read a ton of LED topics here but I havent been able to figure our how much I should buy. 2,3,4 120w? more? Thoughts? I'm looking at a bunch of different vendors so I'd prefer the answer to not be vendor specific. I assume I shold get 90 or 120 degree optics given the depth of the tank? Thanks, Mike |

the possibilities are so endless that you have to be vendor specific or your question can't be properly answered .
you will need a dozen AI SOLs and at least eight radions to start for the support of lps corals

I have an SPS dominant 300 gallon Marineland DD tank the same dimensions as yours, and I light mine with six Ecotech Radion LED units. Vid shot a couple days ago.
