Nannochloropsis Fertilizer?

This may seem like a repetitive question.

I've started attempting to culture algae but since my last crash I have to re-evaluate...

Previously I used distilled sterile water adding course sea salt to create ~1.019sg, added the nannochloropsis culture from FAF, and added 5mL Miracle Gro All Purpose Plant Food.

Total Nitrogen.....8%
Ammoniacal Nitrogen.....1.2%
Nitrate Nitrogen.....1.2%
Urea Nitrogen.....5.6%
Available Phosphate.....7%
Soluble Potash.....6%
Iron.....0.10%
Chelated Iron.....0.10%

It says it was derived from Ammonium Phosphate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Nitrate, Urea, Iron HEDTA.

Is this safe to use with the culture? Copper is toxic (even though there are trace amounts in seawater) and it doesn't contain any so is this where I went wrong or is it something else?

What brand of salt did you use?

Info on lights/container size/container prep/aeration is needed too to help determine if its the miracle gro or some other factor(s) causing your issues.

Baleine course sea salt.

Light used was a 13.8 225 LED Grow Light panel for about 16-18 hours a day.
All the materials were sterilized before being used with alcohol.
The aeration was a Top Fin aerator for 24 hours.

I highly suggest you use a true seawater salt mix, there's a lot more to saltwater than just salt, that's probably your issue.

But as far as the other factors go, there doesn't seem to be a problem?

FAF claims that nannochloropsis are a fresh or saltwater algae (even though salt is optional).

If you're culturing the nanno for use in a saltwater environment, you should culture it in saltwater itself. You still need to use the proper salt though. Everything else seems OK.

I would personally stay away from anything with ammonia, ammonium, urea, EDTA or HDTA in it.

Urea is essentially porcine or cattle urine.

EDTA is bad bad stuff-
"EDTA is in such widespread use that it has emerged as a persistent organic pollutant.[23] It degrades to ethylenediaminetriacetic acid, which then cyclizes to the diketopiperizide, a cumulative, persistent, organic environmental pollutant. An alternative chelating agent with fewer environmental pollution implications is EDDS.
EDTA exhibits low acute toxicity with LD50 (rat) of 2.0 – 2.2 g/kg.[3] It has been found to be both cytotoxic and weakly genotoxic in laboratory animals. Oral exposures have been noted to cause reproductive and developmental effects.[21] The same study by Lanigan[21] also found that both dermal exposure to EDTA in most cosmetic formulations and inhalation exposure to EDTA in aerosolized cosmetic formulations would produce exposure levels below those seen to be toxic in oral dosing studies."
