Angel fish help!!!
Not really sure how to start this, so im just going to dive right in. I had a Queen angel and emperor angel in my tank. They were doing fine for about a week, then things started tanking a turn for the worse. The queen looked as if it was loosing its slime coat as bits of it were hanging off the angel. Then a day later my emperor's scales started turning white. Both died within a couple days. Treated my water with melafix and then some brand of ich guard. after a week of dosing i did a 50% water change and started over. I purchased a juv. blueface angel. Seemed alright for a week, then the same occured. Its scales started turning white and it died a couple weeks later. Did a 50% water change, and tried once more. Purchased a magnificent angel and yet again, one week later, scales started turning white and it died a week later. I have a foxface, marine betta, 5 blue damselfish, 2 peculas, small colony of star polys, and zoanthids. All dont seem to be effected by whatever it is that is killing my angels. I'm starting to think that whatever it is, its specific to angelfish. Please help!

Nitrate doesn't kill fish, at any level of, say <60-80 ppm---probably much higher with most fish.
Melafix and just tossing an unknown ich med in the tank probably does nothing either. There is no such thing as a reef-safe ich cure. We need a lot more info to help. Why did you suspect ich? Tank parameters and tank size, etc. I assume you're not quarantining new fish? If so, this will probably continue. Give us all the info you can and everyone here will be glad to help; You won't last long in this great hobby if you keep going in the same direction and expecting different results.
