Anyone elses ReefCentral loading slow?

My computer has been loading RC extremely slow the pass couple of days. And RC only. Every time I open a new forum takes about 2 minutes to load the page. But since I am a addict I have been putting up with it. :P

I am having NO problems what so ever with other webs. YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo Email, etc. All are loading in less then 2 seconds.

Anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks,

Charley...

Slow is an understatement. It drives me nuts to the point where I usually click away from RC before the main page eve opens. It is a known problem....you are far from the only one. I know we have to take what we get, as it's a free website for us, but it's insane how slow it is.

I'm hoping a fix is coming soon, as I love this site, but find myself using other reefing sites far more often than this one lately.....

Slow is kind, it's glacial. I am new here and the info looks great, but it's a pain to click a link then go do something else for a minute until the next page loads. I'm guessing the site is collapsing under the weight of it's own success. More servers may be the only cure.

In a forum I used to run (no where near this big)... I went through an re-index it on a regular basis... granted this took up to an hour each time... one this size might take MANY MANY hours. Ours would go slow when it was re-indexing.. Then boom it was flying again.

IDK who to even ask or suggest. Maybe the indexer went on holiday??

This site has been very slow since I became a member here. The slowest of all the sites I visit for work and hobbies.

Its known and there is a ton of work being done behind the scenes on an upgrade/fix which will be coming very soon. Pay attention to updated announcements which will appear at the top of every forum which will contain information when it becomes available.

Also so we don't have 50 threads where people are all asking questions that we have to try and keep up with, we're directing people to this thread where information will be posted too.
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...2252255&page=7

Also, you can keep up to date via our Facebook page (you don't need to have a Facebook account to read).
https://www.facebook.com/ReefCentral

Hoipefully ya'll are seeing a little bit of a relief as the admins did some stuff last night to try and provide a little bit of relief until the real upgrade is in place
