Bigfish14's Little Build

As some of you may know, I set up a 40B about a year ago. Well, I'm moving to an apartment that limits aquariums to 10 gallons I was pretty devistated at first, but I think setting up a nano will be a fun challenge. A ten gallon is a little smaller than I want to go, so I will be sneaking in a twenty gallon tall tank. The goal will be to break down the 40B and get as much of it into the twenty gallon tank as possible. As of right now, the livestock that will be making the move are two O. Clowns and a Royal Gramma. I would like to make the 20T a reef, so I will trade my Lawnmower Blenny for a coral or two. That is the reason for setting up this tank and I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say.

Here's a rundown of the gameplan. I will be living with three other people, so the goal will be to keep this tank clean and simple. The display tank will be a 20T on a DIY stand. A 15 gallon sump will be plumbed to the display tank via the herbie overflow system. I have previously used T5 lighting, but I don't want to change bulbs and I don't want the extra heat from a metal halide, so I will be going LED! Look at me joining the new LED bandwagon. I am looking forward to it, especially because I will most likely be going DIY. The sump won't have much equipment in it and will be used mainly for the extra water volume. I will keep a heater, filter sock, and possibly a skimmer in the sump but that is it.

For those of you that have made it this far, thanks so much for your time. I can't wait to talk about my tank with all of you and hear about yours. This thread will not only document my tanks progress, but it will serve as a how-to guide for my fellow reefers in need of some help and guidance. Thanks again for following along. It's nice to have you

Here is the progress I have made on my stand
