Crab trap
I have a few crabs in my tank that has started to eat my stars!! ;-(, I need help to catch these crabs so they don't start killing my fish or nipping my corals, ill catch them and put them
In my fuge :-) |

Most people suggest leaning a glass up against a rock with a little food inside. The crab will go into the glass and not be able to climb up the sides. I've never tried it, so I can't say if it works, but that seems to be the consensus on the forums.

Cut the top off a plastic bottle and turn it inside out. Put some good looking food in there. The crabs will be able to climb in but can't get out. I use this for crabs and shrimp that become problematic. Of course it only works if they can fit through the neck of the bottle

I did the plastic bottle trick, I went and bought a few fresh shrimp and glued a piece in the bottom of the plastic bottle, still have not got the guy im after but its only day 2.... I have caught all my sandsifter snails and a few hermits.....but no gorilla....

You can use anything that won't float away. They are scavengers and really don't care what they eat.
